Purpose:
Owner is to construct two modular classroom buildings as part of a campus expansion project.
Given the proximity of the proposed buildings to an existing wash, Pinal County required a study to alleviate concerns of erosion and potential for flooding.
Solution:
DCF Consulting conducted the Drainage Study to determine the potential runoff reaching the site. The study watershed contained a system of complexed braided washes which made modeling more challenging. Modeling was conducted using the Army Corps of Engineers HEC-1 and HEC-RAS software.
With the modeling complete, DCF consulting prepared the development plans for the project.
